Birth and having given birth are two defining moments in our lives. But when the maternity care assistant has left and the partner returns to work, new mothers often lack the network that provides social and practical support. This Postnatal Doula Training in Dutch gives you the knowledge and skills to make this transition for the young family as loving and peaceful as possible. A stress-free, harmonious first 6 weeks form the foundation for secure attachment and a stable family life.
The training consists of three online meetings, a two-day live weekend together at Holos (including a massage day), and a follow-up day at Holos. You also get access to an extensive online knowledge base with informative videos and training, interesting literature, and a dialogue forum. In total, the training comprises 28 class hours and a supervised internship of 40 hours. After the internship, you are eligible for a Holos/PSN Maternity Doula diploma.
Who is it for?
The training is designed for anyone (men and women) who wants to make an important difference for young families and wants to learn more about the impact of postpartum care in the first weeks after delivery: Healthcare professionals, Doulas, Yoga teachers, Family members of an expectant mother, Nurses and midwives, Anyone inspired by postpartum care and support.

Location
The online lessons take place from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM via ZOOM.
The live days take place from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at Het Holos Huis at Nachtegaalstraat 31 in Utrecht.

The cost for the training is € 895,- per person.

The first five registrations receive the promotional rate of € 845,- per person.
Certification
Upon completion of the 28 class hours + 40 hours of internship, you will receive a Holos Maternity Doula diploma. Accreditation The PostPartum training is recognized by the Dutch Professional Association for Doulas (NBvD). Furthermore, the training is licensed by the international foundation Postnatal Support Network (PSN).
